ROAE2 Supports Field Inspection by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives in Uttaradit Province

On October 25, 2015, Mrs. Thunphitcha Theraratchanon, Director of the 2nd Regional Office of Agricultural Economics (ROAE2, Phitsanulok), assigned Mr. Thanakorn Kaewcharoon, a skilled economist, to support the inspection of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives (Captain Thammanat Prompao). The visit was accompanied by senior executives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, including the Director-General, Inspector-General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives Region 17, Deputy Directors-General, and heads of departments under the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives in Uttaradit Province.

The inspection aimed to monitor the flood situation caused by the typhoon “Bualoi”, which has caused damage to irrigation systems and agricultural areas. They also discussed urgent solutions and rehabilitation measures at the water supply bridge at km. 14+200, Village No. 15, Pak Kwang Subdistrict, Thong Saen Khan District, Uttaradit Province. Mr. Phacharaset Boonsirisarisa, Deputy Governor of Uttaradit Province, welcomed them.

Situation monitoring revealed that the typhoon “Bualoi” caused continuous heavy rain, damaging the main canal water supply bridge at km. 14+200, preventing water supply for agriculture. The Royal Irrigation Department is expediting repairs and restoration of the irrigation system to ensure normal water supply and drainage, alleviating farmers’ hardship and ensuring sufficient water for cultivation.

During this visit, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, along with the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives executives, listened to the concerns and suggestions of local farmers and provided them with production factors to alleviate their suffering, including relief bags, rice seeds, bamboo saplings, and vegetable seeds. and bio-fermented water, LD.2.
