From October 27-30, 2025, Mrs. Thunphitcha Theraratchanon, Director of the 2nd Regional Office of Agricultural Economics (Director of the ROAE2, Phitsanulok), assigned Miss Panrada Tharuean, Senior Policy and Plan Analyst, and officials from the Agricultural Information Division to participate in a workshop on collecting yield data per rai using the crop cutting method for industrial cassava in 2026 and animal feed corn in the 2025/26 crop year in Phetchabun Province.
The workshop covered the following topics:
- Participated in the crop cutting method for four animal feed corn plots and one cassava plot, along with a review of the manual and the yield survey record form per rai. This includes crop cutting, post-harvest production surveys, and recording of missed crops and unplanted areas.
- Using geographic information technology to compile data on animal feed corn production.
- Forecasting key agricultural products and compiling production cost data.
- Methods for surveying production volumes of field crops and horticultural crops, and methods for conducting rapid agricultural production surveys using the Rural Rapid Appraisal (RRA) method.
Participants will incorporate the knowledge gained into the learning exchange plan of the ROAE2.
