On October 30, 2025, Mrs. Thunphitcha Theraratchanon, Director of the 2nd Regional Office of Agricultural Economics (Director of ROAE2, Phitsanulok), assigned Miss Wanwisa Thipbunthong, Senior Policy and Planning Analyst, and Miss Rungthiwa Thabpaen, Practitioner Economist, to participate in a workshop on “Strategic Future Planning with Strategic Foresight.” The workshop took place on October 30-31, 2025, at the Sriplang Meeting Room, 8th Floor, Vision Building, OAE. Mr. Chantanon Wannakhechon, Secretary-General of the Office of Agricultural Economics, presided over the opening ceremony, and Mr. Sriphrai Bunnadech, Secretary-General of the Department, gave a report.
Lectures were given on the following topics: 1. Strategic Foresight Concepts; 2. Trend Analysis (Trends & Signals); 3. Flexible Strategies for the Future; and 4. Strategic Option Matrix. Speakers from the Japanese Business Innovation Service Center (JBIS), Faculty of Business Administration, Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology. Workshops on these topics presented and summarized the overall picture for practical application.
This training aimed to equip OAE executives and personnel with knowledge and understanding of concepts, techniques, processes, and methods for strategic future visioning. They were able to create scenarios to define their visions. It also served as a forum for exchanging opinions and experiences to jointly determine the future direction and develop the OAE for sustainable growth and preparedness for all changes.
