On November 11, 2025, Mrs. Thunphitcha Theraratchanon, Director of the 2nd Regional Office of Agricultural Economics (Director of ROAE2), along with Mrs. Suthatip Srisappakit, Director of the Agricultural Economic Zone Development Planning Division, welcomed Mrs. Warinthorn Chaiwiwat, Deputy Director of the Bank of Thailand’s Northern Region Office (BOT Northern Region), and her team at the Dok Pib Meeting Room, ROAE2.
The objective was to exchange views on agricultural economic data, including production conditions, production calendars, marketing (prices) of key agricultural products, water situations, natural disasters, the implementation of local Ministry of Agriculture policies, the socio-economic status of agricultural households, and the impact of risk factors and supporting factors on the expansion/contraction of the agricultural economy in the northern region and the six provinces under its jurisdiction in 2025.
The BOT Northern Region will use the data to analyze and forecast the economic and financial conditions of the northern region. It also provides recommendations for financial and economic development appropriate to the local context, which will be used to support the implementation of the country’s financial policies.
