On January 9, 2026, Mrs. Thunphitcha Theraratchanon, Director of the 2nd Regional Office of Agricultural Economics (ROAE2), along with Mrs. Suthatip Srisanpakit, Director of the Agricultural Economic Zone Development Planning Division, Mr. Warit Chusakul, Director of the Research and Evaluation Division, Miss Panrada Tharuean, Director of the Agricultural Information Division, Miss Mayuchat Niyom, Head of the General Administration Division, and other ROAE2 staff, attended a meeting to receive a briefing on the operational guidelines of the OAE from Mr. Phiraphan Khothong, the Secretary-General of the OAE via the online system ZOOM.
This time, the Secretary-General provided guidelines for 9 key tasks to be completed within 365 days, including:
- A comprehensive agricultural economics report package
- Developing and upgrading the agricultural economics team
- Studying, analyzing, researching, and defining agricultural economic zones
- Upgrading analysis and research to institutional standards
- Connecting networks of economists and statisticians at the national level
- Analyzing and designing the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives’ budget for 2027
- Monitoring prices at 4 levels and analyzing price transmission
- Risk management
- Developing a 5-year digital plan
