On February 12, 2026, Mrs. Sujaree Picha, the Director of the 1st Regional Office of Agricultural Economics (Director of ROAE1, Chiang Mai), and Mrs. Thunphitcha Theraratchanont, the Director of the 2nd Regional Office of Agricultural Economics (Director of ROAE2, Phitsanulok), Chairperson of the Working Group on Improving the Quality of Agricultural Production Data for Crops (Northern Region), along with Mrs. Jenthicha Chaichan, Director of the 12th Regional Office of Agricultural Economics (Director of ROAE12, Nakhon Sawan), Vice Chairperson, held the 2nd meeting of the Working Group on Improving the Quality of Agricultural Production Data for Crops in the Northern Region for the year 2025 via Zoom.
The objective was to consider and approve production data for 12 types of crops in 17 provinces of the Northern Region, including: rice (irrigated crop) 2025, cassava (for processing) 2025, animal feed corn (crop 1, planting season 2024/2025), animal feed corn (crop 2, planting season 2024/2025), soybean (crop 1, planting season 2024/2025), and soybean (crop 2, planting season 2024/2025), and fruit trees 2025 (longan, durian, rambutan, lychee, langsat, mangosteen).
The meeting included… A team of academics from the Agricultural Information Center, Agricultural Information Division, OAE Region 1, 2, and 12, Provincial and District Agricultural Offices, Rice Seed Centers, Rice Research Centers, and agencies under the Royal Irrigation Department from 17 northern provinces (Chiang Rai, Phayao, Lampang, Lamphun, Chiang Mai, Mae Hong Son, Tak, Sukhothai, Phrae, Nan, Uttaradit, Phitsanulok, Kamphaeng Phet, Phichit, Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, and Phetchabun) participated in the meeting.
The meeting resolved to approve and certify the crop production data, including planted area, harvested area, yield, and yield per rai for all 12 types of crops in the 17 northern provinces. This reflects the unity in data compilation for shared use. This data will be presented to the Sub-committee on Developing the Quality of Agricultural Crop Production Data for national-level approval.
