On February 27, 2026, Mrs. Thunphitcha Theraratchanon, Director of the 2nd Regional Office of Agricultural Economics (ROAE2), participated in a meeting to monitor the progress of project implementation according to the inspection plan of the Inspector General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives for the fiscal year 2026, Round 1, Inspection Region 17, Uttaradit Province, at the Sri Phanommas Meeting Room, 2nd floor, Uttaradit Provincial Hall. Mr. Sophat Chawalakul, Inspector General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Inspection Region 17, chaired the meeting.
In the morning, she met with Mr. Santi Rangsiruji, Governor of Uttaradit Province, who raised some issues for the ROAE2 to address. The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives has helped drive results in three areas:
- Clarification in disqualifying farmers who burn agricultural land from receiving government support, in order to truly stop burning.
- Addressing delays in reporting Hot Spot locations, where no evidence was found during field visits.
- Continuing the work on promoting rice varieties suitable for the area.
Following this, a meeting was held to review the progress of project implementation according to the inspection plan of the Inspector General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives for the fiscal year 2026, Round 1 (Project and Progress Review), focusing on key policies of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives in Phitsanulok Province and other issues. Relevant policies in the Uttaradit Province area include:
- Policy 1: Expediting the allocation of agricultural land to farmers.
- Policy 2: Integrated water management.
- Policy 3: Upgrading high-value agricultural products and services.
- Policy 4: Strengthening the potential of farmers/agricultural institutions.
- Policy 5: Managing agricultural resources.
- Policy 6: Combating illegal agricultural product trafficking.
Other issues (addressing local grievances / Royal Initiative projects / agricultural disasters / establishing an agricultural Project Bank).
Afternoon: Field visits to two locations as per the inspection plan:
Location 1: Jai Yai Garden (Rai Lae Tawan), Ms. Pranom Jai Yai (Smart Farmer), Moo 5, Chai Chumphol Subdistrict, Lablae District, Uttaradit Province.
Location 2: Khajornsak Farm (goat farm), 146 Moo 7, Pa Khai Subdistrict, Thong Saen Khan District, Uttaradit Province. To listen to the problems/obstacles and the progress of operations in the area.
