On March 18, 2026, Mrs. Thunphitcha Theraratchanon, Director of the 2nd Regional Office of Agricultural Economics (ROAE2), assigned Miss Rungtiwa Thabpaen, an operational economist, to attend the 3rd meeting of the Uttraradit Provincial Agricultural Disaster Monitoring and Mitigation Center Committee for 2026. The meeting was held at the meeting room of the Uttraradit Provincial Agricultural and Cooperatives Office and via Zoom Cloud Meeting. Ms. Kanokorn Saengarun, the Uttraradit Provincial Agricultural and Cooperatives Officer, chaired the meeting.
Objectives:
- To receive reports on weather conditions in the area, the water management situation and plans, prevention and mitigation of burning in the area, preparedness for summer storms in 2026, follow-up on the approval of emergency funds under the authority of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives to assist farmers affected by floods, pest outbreaks in the area and prevention/mistakeholder approaches, and requesting assistance in implementing measures to address the problem of low coconut prices. This includes acknowledging the criteria, methods, and conditions for the disbursement of emergency relief funds to disaster victims in 2026, as well as disaster warnings and assistance for crops, fisheries, and livestock.
- To consider preparations and preventative measures for drought in 2026.
In this regard, the ROAE2 presented a report on agricultural product prices entering the market in March 2026.
