On March 30, 2026, Mrs. Thunphitcha Theraratchanon, Director of the 2nd Regional Office of Agricultural Economics (ROAE2), along with staff from ROAE2, participated in a meeting via Zoom on “Impacts and Response Strategies for the Thai Agricultural Sector Due to War Crisis.” The meeting was chaired by Ms. Narumon Sa-nguanwong, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives. Dr. Taweesak Thanadechopol, Director of the Agricultural Research Development Agency (Public Organization), presented a report, and Mr. Peerapan Korthong, Secretary-General of the Office of Agricultural Economics, gave a presentation on “Overview of Geopolitical Impacts and Response Strategies for the Agricultural Sector.”
The purpose of the meeting was to gather opinions and policy proposals from all sectors to address the multifaceted impacts on the Thai agricultural sector. Executives, representatives from various agencies both within and outside the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, private sector organizations, and related associations participated.
