On May 31, 2026, Mrs. Thunphitcha Theraratchanon, Director of the 2nd Regional Office of Agricultural Economics (Director of ROAE2 Phitsanulok), along with Mr. Thanakon Kaeojaroon, Senior Economist, joined the official inspection tour of the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives (Miss Piyaruch Tiyapairat) in Phitsanulok Province. They accompanied executives, representatives, and heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) from Phitsanulok Province.
The inspection tour aimed to monitor operational progress, listen to field-level issues, and address the needs of local farmers across 6 key locations:
- Location 1 (Nakhon Sorluang Song Khwae Meeting Room, Bueng Ratchanok Building, Wang Thong Sub-district, Wang Thong District): Attended the official inspection meeting, delivered policies and guidelines under the framework “Innovative Agriculture for Thai Farmers’ Sustainability,” and visited exhibitions featuring the following activities:
- Handing over agricultural land title deeds to 10 farmer representatives (out of 100 total recipients).
- Allocating off-irrigation farm ponds to 10 farmers.
- Distributing production inputs to 10 volunteer soil doctors (Mhor Din Arsa).
- Awarding GAP PM 2.5 Free Plus certificates (for non-burning dry maize kernels)—an upgraded standard from regular GAP that emphasizes zero-burning practices in agricultural areas to combat PM 2.5 pollution—to 10 farmers.
- The Department of Agricultural Extension presenting 300 sets of plant varieties and production inputs to farmers (with 10 representatives receiving them).
- Distributing sericulture production inputs under the Agri-map project to 1 agricultural group (with 2 representatives receiving them).
- Location 2 (Bueng Ratchanok Dredging Site): Reviewed progress reports and obstacles regarding the dredging of Bueng Ratchanok, and released 100,000 herbivorous fish.
- Location 3 (Phitsanulok Rice Research Center): Attended a presentation on “The Rice Seed Support Process Tailored for Local Areas,” visited a low-carbon rice production demonstration plot equipped with carbon dioxide emission meters, and observed the foundation rice seed production process.
- Location 4 (The 2nd Regional Agricultural Research and Development Center): Visited exhibitions detailing the use of rice straw decomposing substances and observed the production process of decomposing microbes.
- Location 5 (Demonstration Plot for Microbial Inoculants at the back of the Phitsanulok Rice Research Center): Observed a demonstration of land plowing using organic material decomposing microbial inoculants on rice stubble, and received guidance and policies for further development and problem-solving.
- Location 6 (Nan River Sluice Gate Construction Site / Downstream Phitsanulok Diversion Dam): Attended a briefing on the construction operational plan for the Nan River Sluice Gate, and delivered operational policies and guidelines.
This official inspection tour focused on closely monitoring agricultural drives at the local level and listening directly to feedback from farmers, ensuring that future policy development and problem-solving are precise, targeted, and sustainable.
