On May 22, 2026, Mrs. Thunphitcha Theraratchanon, Director of the 2nd Regional Office of Agricultural Economics (Director of ROAE2 Phitsanulok), assigned Mr. Chat Naowaphananon, Senior Statistician, to attend the 2/2026 meeting to monitor and forecast the provincial fruit situation in Phrae Province. The meeting was held at the Phirun 1 Meeting Room, Phrae Provincial Agricultural Office, and was chaired by Miss Sroiphet Tantirattananon, Phrae Provincial Agricultural Officer.
The meeting was structured around the following key agendas:
To acknowledge 5 matters, namely:
- Longan Orchard Restoration: The Quality Longan Orchard Development Project focused on canopy pruning and fruit thinning to revitalize orchards and increase farmers’ income.
- Geographical Indication (GI) Tracking: The implementation, quality verification, and origin tracing for Phrae Province’s registered GI product, the “Mueang Long Khao Namphueng Pomelo,” for the 2026 cycle.
- Market Dynamics: The current marketing situation for fruit yields, alongside data profiles of purchasing entrepreneurs, wholesalers, and buyers.
- Large-Scale Plot Yield Estimations: Production forecasts for Large-Scale Agricultural Plots (Plang Yai) in Phrae Province, covering:
- The longan plot at Moo 2, Ban Pong Sub-district, Sung Men District, Phrae Province.
- The longan plot at Moo 2, Daen Chumphon Sub-district, Song District, Phrae Province.
- The longan plot at Thung Nao Sub-district, Song District, Phrae Province.
- Cooperative Distribution: Market linkage channels and distribution forecasting for agricultural cooperative produce.
To consider 1 matter, namely:
- The collaborative forecasting of the 2026 provincial fruit situation and supply volumes in Phrae Province for economic fruits, specifically longan, Nam Dok Mai mango, durian, pomelo, and tangerine (Som Khiao Waan).
