On June 21, 2026, Mrs. Thunphitcha Theraratchanon, Director of the 2nd Regional Office of Agricultural Economics (Director of ROAE2 Phitsanulok), alongside Miss Kittawan Prasitthiphol, Operational Policy and Plan Analyst, joined an official field inspection led by Miss Piyarat Chitiyapairat, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC).
The delegation, comprising senior MOAC executives and heads of provincial agricultural agencies in Nan Province, visited two key locations to track the progress of regional projects, identify agricultural bottlenecks, and engage directly with local farmers to understand their needs.
Key Inspection Sites & Activities
Point 1: Phaya Kaeo Sub-district Administrative Organization (Chiang Klang District)
The visit focused heavily on provincial irrigation infrastructure and localized water management strategies. Key activities included:
- Irrigation Monitoring: Tracking the overall distribution and management of water within the province’s irrigated zones.
- Reservoir Maintenance: Reviewing engineering solutions and remediation guidelines to address water seepage through the earthen embankment of the Nam Kian Reservoir.
- Water Management Proposals: Evaluating the proposed water resource management system for Sanian Sub-district (Huai Kaeo Reservoir).
- Construction Progress: Assessing the ongoing development and construction milestones of the Nam Kon Reservoir in Phaya Kaeo Sub-district.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Meeting with local water-user groups to push priority initiatives forward and delivering policy guidelines to resolve ongoing water issues.
Point 2: Nan Rubber Fund Cooperative Limited (Fai Kaeo Sub-district, Phu Phiang District)
This site visit centered on smart farming applications, cooperative networks, and off-season agricultural income generation:
- Post-Paddy Livelihoods: Tracking regional initiatives designed to promote sustainable occupations and alternative crops for farmers after the traditional rice harvesting season.
- Tailor-Made Fertilizer Project: Evaluating the field implementation and efficiency of the “Tailor-Made Fertilizer” (ปุ๋ยสั่งตัด / Pui Sang Tat) initiative, which optimizes soil nutrients for specific crops.
- Agri-Tech Innovation: Receiving an operational report on the integrated innovation system “FULL PACK & Application Smart4M,” designed to streamline agricultural management.
- Cooperative Network Dialogue: Meeting with representatives from Nan’s local cooperative networks to exchange feedback and provide executive policy directives.
Mission Objective: This joint field inspection emphasizes close, ground-level monitoring of the agricultural sector. By listening directly to the feedback and structural challenges raised by local farmers, the ministry aims to refine its targeted policy frameworks to deliver impactful and sustainable solutions.
