On July 27, 2026, Mrs. Thunphitcha Theraratchanon, Director of the 2nd Regional Office of Agricultural Economics (Director of ROAE2 Phitsanulok), assigned Miss Mayuchat Niyom, Head of the General Administration Division, to participate in a tree planting activity in honor of His Majesty the King on the occasion of His Majesty’s Birthday Anniversary on July 28, 2026, at the Thung Soka area, Tha Pho Sub-district, Mueang District, Phitsanulok Province. Mr. Jaset Thaiseth, Deputy Minister of Interior, presided over the opening ceremony, with Mr. Kiattisak Trongsiri, Governor of Phitsanulok Province, alongside heads of government agencies, military, police, local Members of Parliament, and citizens welcoming the Deputy Minister and joining the activity.
On this occasion, the Deputy Minister of Interior handed over 13 tree saplings to the Governor of Phitsanulok Province, provincial executives, and district chief, before releasing aquatic animals into the Bueng Thung Soka water body in honor of His Majesty and visiting booths showcasing local OTOP and agricultural products of Phitsanulok Province. Subsequently, participants traveled via tractor trailer to the tree planting site, where the Deputy Minister planted a Siamese Rosewood (Phayung) tree, while heads of government agencies planted Golden Shower (Khun) trees in planting grid No. 10, totaling 198 trees. Simultaneously, local residents joined together to plant over 2,500 additional saplings to expand green space, restore the ecosystem, and collectively demonstrate their loyalty on the occasion of His Majesty’s Birthday.
For this event, Phitsanulok Province set a goal to encourage every household to plant one tree, aiming for a total of 200,000 trees across the province in accordance with the “Three Types of Forests, Four Benefits” framework to combat global warming. Furthermore, the province plans to develop the Bueng Thung Soka area—spanning over 1,351 rai and connecting three sub-districts (Tha Pho, Tha Thong, and Bueng Phra)—by excavating surrounding canals for agricultural water management and establishing it as a future agricultural learning center and local public park.
