ROAE2 attended a seminar on guidelines for managing farmers’ vulnerability and adaptation to climate change

On September 4, 2026, Mrs. Thunphitcha Theraratchanon, Director of the 2nd Regional Office of Agricultural Economics (Director of ROAE2), assigned personnel from the Agricultural Economic Zone Development Plan Division to attend the seminar on “Guidelines for Managing Farmers’ Vulnerability and Adaptation to Climate Change” under the Study Project on Development Guidelines for Creating Opportunities, Increasing Income, and Agricultural Sustainability for Fiscal Year 2026 at Chaophraya Thara Riverside Hotel, Chainat Province, and via Zoom Meeting, with Dr. Kanchana Kwanmuang, Deputy Secretary-General of the Office of Agricultural Economics, presiding over the opening ceremony.

The objective of the seminar was to disseminate study results on guidelines for managing area-based vulnerability and farmers’ adaptation to climate change across six regions—namely the Northeastern, Eastern, Western, Northern, Southern, and Central regions. The seminar also served as an open forum to exchange views, experiences, and recommendations among relevant agencies, aiming to utilize the gathered insights to formulate climate adaptation guidelines tailored to the context and specific conditions of each area, while strengthening the capacity of the agricultural sector to effectively cope with the impacts of climate change, driving robust and sustainable agricultural development.
