On November 3, 2026, Mrs. Thunphitcha Theraratchanon, Director of the 2nd Regional Office of Agricultural Economics (Director of ROAE2 Phitsanulok), accompanied by Mrs. Suthatip Srisanpakit, Director of the Agro-Economic Zone Development Planning Division, and division personnel, convened the 5/2026 Staff Meeting of the Agro-Economic Zone Development Planning Division to establish operational directions, monitor the progress of ongoing missions, and assign responsibilities to personnel in preparation for driving operations under the Fiscal Year 2027 operational action plan.
During the meeting, participants jointly deliberated on operational guidelines for the division’s core missions, including the preparation of provincial agro-economic situation reports, the monitoring of key agricultural commodity situations in regional areas, and conducting in-depth commodity analyses to evaluate production trends, marketing dynamics, production costs, farm income, and impacting variables. The meeting also addressed Rapid Rural Appraisal (RRA) surveys of major agricultural commodities by linking primary field survey data with existing agro-economic datasets to ensure analyses clearly capture practical ground realities, challenges, and constraints across local jurisdictions.
Furthermore, the meeting highlighted aligning workflows with the ECON Policy Framework concept by utilizing insights derived from agro-economic situation analyses and in-depth commodity assessments to define key issues, examine root causes and contributing factors, and identify local development opportunities. This systematic process aims to formulate localized policy solutions that can be practically integrated into agricultural planning and targeted problem-solving measures tailored to actual circumstances.
In addition, strong emphasis was placed on collaborative integration among personnel and relevant divisions, systematic task planning, workload prioritization, and shared data utilization to eliminate redundancies and enhance operational efficiency. The objective is to ensure that agro-economic assessments, in-depth commodity evaluations, and RRA survey findings effectively reflect the circumstances and challenges of the local agricultural sector, thereby generating actionable policy proposals and tangibly supporting evidence-based decision-making by executives and related agencies.
