ROAE2 participated in a workshop on surveying data for uniquely identifiable agricultural products (GI) in 2026.

From December 22-25, 2025, Mrs. Thunphitcha Theraratchanon, Director of the 2nd Regional Office of Agricultural Economics Region 2 (Director of ROAE2, Phitsanulok), assigned Mr. Chalermsin Intachaisri, Senior Statistician, Mr. Kritsada Khongsamma, Statistical Officer, and Mrs. Atchara Klahan, Statistical Officer, to attend a workshop on surveying data for uniquely identifiable agricultural products (GI) in 2026 at Chawalan Resort, Don Tum District, Nakhon Pathom Province. The aim was to raise awareness and understanding of the correct statistical principles for surveying the production volume of uniquely identifiable agricultural products. Dr. Krit Iamthanon, Director of the Agricultural Information Center, Office of Agricultural Economics, presided over the opening ceremony.

The workshop also featured Ms. Sutchaya Iamsa-ard, Senior Policy and Planning Analyst, as a speaker involved in promoting high-value agricultural products through uniquely identifiable agricultural products. The 10th Regional Office of Agricultural Economics, Ratchaburi Province, presented an overview of the situation and production of fragrant coconuts in the western region. Mr. Charan Charoensap, President of the Thai Fragrant Coconut Association, and Ms. Nuanla-or Terdkiatkul, CEO of Aromatic Farm Company, provided knowledge to be used in developing data collection strategies to support the policy of creating high-value agriculture by upgrading and promoting the production of unique local agricultural products (GI).
