From February 18-20, 2026, Mrs. Thunphitcha Theraratchanon, Director of the 2nd Regional Office of Agricultural Economics (ROAE2), assigned Mr. Chalermsin Intachaisri, Senior Statistician, Mr. Thanakorn Kaewcharoon, Senior Economist, and Mr. Latthaphon Kanlayanamit, Economist, to attend a workshop on data collection methods using samples of key agricultural commodities to support policy formulation. The workshop was held at Meeting Room 3, 3rd Floor, Innovation Building, Office of Agricultural Economics, with Mr. Krongsak Songraksa, Deputy Secretary-General of the Office of Agricultural Economics, presiding over the opening ceremony.
The goal of the workshop was to enhance the knowledge, understanding, and skills of ROAE2 staff in data collection using sampling methods and quantitative forecasting of agricultural production data. This data is crucial for supporting the analysis and formulation of national agricultural policies. The participants will be able to apply the acquired knowledge to their work. To further develop agricultural information systems to be more accurate, precise, and efficient.
