On May 27, 2026, Mrs. Thunphitcha Theraratchanon, Director of the 2nd Regional Office of Agricultural Economics (Director of ROAE2 Phitsanulok), attended a meeting to present an overview of monitoring and evaluation and to exchange insights under the Operational Monitoring and Evaluation Project on Climate Change Adaptation for the Agriculture and Food Security Sector, in accordance with the National Adaptation Plan (NAP). The meeting was held at the Ladprao Suite, Centara Grand at CentralPlaza Ladprao, Bangkok, and was opened and presided over by Mr. Pavich Kesavawong, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Climate Change and Environment.
On this occasion, the Director of ROAE2 participated in a panel discussion titled “Lessons from the Field: Towards Elevating Monitoring and Evaluation of Climate Change Adaptation.” The discussion featured two key case studies:
- Agriculture and Food Security Sector: A case study presented by the Director of ROAE2 on climate change adaptation in the agricultural sector aimed at enhancing resilience and sustainability in highland areas of Bua Yai Sub-district, Na Noi District, Nan Province.
- Public Health Sector: A case study on “Dust-Free Classrooms” presented by Mr. Jaturong Cheewaphalaboon, a researcher from the Thermal Engineering Center at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi.
The panel discussion was moderated by Dr. Phawin Talerngsri.
