From June 6 to July 7, 2026, Mrs. Thunphitcha Theraratchanon, Director of the 2nd Regional Office of Agricultural Economics (Director of ROAE2), assigned personnel from the Agricultural Information Division to conduct extensive field data collection across its six jurisdictional provinces: Tak, Sukhothai, Phrae, Nan, Uttaradit, and Phitsanulok.
This comprehensive field initiative is being executed in accordance with the fiscal year 2026 joint operational plan established alongside the central Center for Agricultural Information (CAI).
The data collection drive focuses on five core agricultural and economic target areas:
- 2026 Fruit Yield Tracking: Surveying production and yield volumes for major economic fruits in the region, specifically durian, longkong, lychee, longan, and rambutan.
- Safe Agricultural Products (GAP): Compiling statistical data and tracking certified safe agricultural production metrics for the 2025/2026 crop year major rice (in-season rice).
- Production Cost Analytics: Evaluating economic baselines and total production costs for coffee based on data from the 2025 production cycle.
- Agricultural Machinery Economics: Surveying localized commercial service fees and custom hire rates for agricultural machinery across different farming zones.
- Rapid Rural Appraisal (RRA) Assessments: Utilizing the RRA methodology to evaluate real-time production and cultivation conditions for 2026 commodities, including first-crop feed maize, the 2026/2027 major rice cycle, pineapples, and coffee.
Data Utilization and Strategic Value
All primary datasets harvested during this month-long deployment will be systematically uploaded into the CAI’s central database system. The compiled information will be processed to generate integrated macro-overviews at the provincial, regional, and national levels.
Ultimately, these verified economic indicators and production metrics will serve as a critical statistical foundation for policymakers to formulate responsive market measures, design targeted agricultural development plans, and implement sustainable agricultural policies for the country.
