On June 29–30, 2026, Mrs. Thunphitcha Theraratchanon, Director of the 2nd Regional Office of Agricultural Economics (Director of ROAE2), directed the office’s Agricultural Information Division to organize a regional workshop titled “Developing Northern Economic Fruit Data 2026 for Systematic Fruit Management”.
The event was held at the Tonthong Resort in Mueang District, Uttaradit Province, and was presided over and chaired by the Director of the 1st Regional Office of Agricultural Economics (Director of ROAE1, Chiang Mai).
Operating under the Sub-working Group on Data and Logistics Development for the Northern Region, this collaborative seminar brought together key agricultural agencies, including:
- ROAE1 (Chiang Mai) and ROAE12 (Nakhon Sawan)
- The central Center for Agricultural Information (CAI)
- The Office of Agricultural Extension and Development Region 6
- The Office of Agricultural Research and Development Regions 1 and 2
- Provincial Agricultural Offices spanning all 17 Northern provinces
The data integration efforts focused specifically on four major economic fruits of the North: longan, lychee, durian, and Nam Dok Mai mango.
Core Objectives & Strategic Outcomes
The workshop was designed to bridge the gaps between provincial data silos and establish a synchronized agricultural network. Key focal points included:
- Unified Big Data Integration: Building a centralized, connected forecasting database for northern economic fruits that is highly unified, verified, and capable of reflecting true ground-level conditions across all provinces.
- Production & Market Intelligence: Capturing precise, synchronized metrics regarding total seasonal yields, production situations, and real-time marketing dynamics.
- Strategic Logistics Optimization: Utilizing these integrated forecasting models as a primary statistical baseline to formulate efficient regional logistics, supply chain pathways, and distribution management strategies for future harvest seasons.
