On August 4, 2026, Mr. Peeraphan Kothong, Secretary-General of the Office of Agricultural Economics (OAE), visited the 2nd Regional Office of Agricultural Economics in Phitsanulok (ROAE2) to deliver policies and operational guidelines under the concepts “OAE Value to 4 Goals” and “9 Transformations Driving Thai Agricultural Economy to the Global Stage.” The visit aimed to exchange views, foster mutual understanding regarding operational direction, and enhance the efficiency of regional agricultural economic initiatives to achieve organizational goals. Mrs. Thunphitcha Theraratchanon, Director of ROAE2, alongside ROAE2 civil servants and personnel, warmly welcomed the Secretary-General at the ROAE2 office.
On this occasion, ROAE2 presented key information, including:
- Work plans and operational results for Fiscal Year 2026.
- The cassava production and marketing situation across its 6 responsible provinces: Phitsanulok, Sukhothai, Tak, Uttaradit, Phrae, and Nan.
- Data compilation procedures for production volume, yield-per-rai surveys using the List Frame (LF) method, and the Crop Cutting method.
Furthermore, in addition to monitoring operations and delivering policy guidelines to ROAE2, this visit served as an opportunity to attend a joint meeting with the Cassava Association. The cassava production, marketing, and data compilation processes presented by ROAE2 will be utilized as key supporting data for the meeting to facilitate discussions, exchange perspectives, and establish collaborative action plans with relevant stakeholders moving forward.
