On August 28, 2026, Mrs. Thunphitcha Theraratchanon, Director of the 2nd Regional Office of Agricultural Economics (Director of ROAE2), assigned Mrs. Suthathip Srisapphakit, Director of the Agricultural Economic Zone Development Plan Division, to attend the 5/2026 Joint Public and Private Sector Consultative Committee Meeting on Economic Problems for the Lower Northern Provincial Cluster 1 (JPPCC) via Zoom Meeting, with Mr. Kiattisak Trongsiri, Governor of Phitsanulok Province, presiding over the meeting.
The meeting was held to acknowledge 2 matters, namely:
- Significant economic situations:
- Economic forecast of the Lower Northern Provincial Cluster 1 for 2025 and economic trends for 2026
- Tourism situation and promotional activities of the Lower Northern Provincial Cluster 1 during the 2nd quarter of Fiscal Year 2026
- Overall agricultural situation of the Lower Northern Provincial Cluster 1
- Industrial sector situation of the Lower Northern Provincial Cluster 1 and trends during the 3rd quarter of Fiscal Year 2026
- Key driving issues of the Joint Standing Committee on Commerce, Industry and Banking (JSCCIB) of the Lower Northern Provincial Cluster 1
On this occasion, the ROAE2 representative reported on the overall agricultural situation of the Lower Northern Provincial Cluster 1, encompassing the production and marketing situations for major rice and feed corn for crop year 2026/27, as well as key challenges, relevant policy measures, and development recommendations.
