Mrs. Thunphitcha Theraratchanon, Director of the 2nd Regional Office of Agricultural Economics Region 2 (Director of ROAE2), assigned Mr. Thanakorn Kaewcharoon, Senior Economist, to attend the first meeting of the Project Management Committee for the \u201cConserving Water for the Mother of the Land\u201d Project in Uttaradit Province, held via Zoom Cloud Meeting. The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Governor of Uttaradit Province (Mr. Sorapong Manasukhanan).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting received updates on the progress of the 3-year plan (2025-2027), which focuses on improving the quality of life for citizens while conserving natural resources. In fiscal year 2026, the project continues to be driven under five key strategies, emphasizing watershed forest restoration, occupational and income development, community empowerment, and the development of necessary infrastructure. This includes the integration of cooperation from 16 agencies in 17 projects\/activities with a total budget of over 8.46 million baht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, the meeting considered the operational guidelines for the fiscal year 2027, focusing on addressing urgent problems in the area, such as developing water distribution systems for agriculture, improving soil fertility, supporting production factors, and expanding market channels for agricultural products and community products. The meeting unanimously approved the proposals and assigned the relevant agencies to incorporate the feedback into the operational plans to ensure appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and the sustainable improvement of the quality of life for people in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
